Going Out

If you have a family and need at least a two-bedroom place, it will cost you from $2,700. Of course, the cheapest apartments usually don’t have the best options to offer. Better areas and options will definitely cost you more.
The median rent here is $2,800, while the median sale is $1,2M. But if you’re one of the lucky ones who afford to move to the UWS, get the most of it. You can choose between renting an apartment in a co-op, condo, or high-rise. The neighborhood’s brownstones won’t leave anyone indifferent.
Transportation
There are two subway lines serving the Upper West Side. You can take the 1, 2 or 3, as well as the A, B, C or D trains. The neighborhood also has five bus routes: M5, M7, M10, M11, and M106. Besides, you can get there by M66, M72, M79, M6, M106 buses that cross the UWS.
